Description

Join Detective Chief Superintendent Ben Snuggs from Hampshire Constabulary in this series of engagement lunches hosted by Research and Innovation Services and sponsored by ESRC. The purpose of these lunches are to develop and strengthen the relationships between our researchers and stakeholders in some key social science research areas. Ben leads the Cyber Protect team at Hampshire Constabulary, which is focused on identifying groups and people vulnerable to cyber attack, and engaging with them to provide support and guidance to help prevent them from becoming victims of cyber crime. This seminar will be chaired by Dr Craig Webber, Associate Professor of Criminology and aims to provide an overview of the work of the Cyber Protect team and to facilitate discussion on the role of social science in research areas of interest and future challenges.
